Trying McDonald's in London

It’s been said that no honeymoon is complete without a trip to McDonald’s. Ok fine it’s only been said by me, but that’s neither here nor there. My wife and I went to one of my all time favorite cities, London. London is the home of Big Ben, Hyde Park, the West End, Buckingham Palace, The Beatles, and of course, McDonald’s.

We stayed in Camden, which I really enjoyed my first time out to London when I was working on the YouTube Music Awards in 2013. As fate would have it, there were Golden Arches to be had, and documented. Here I am trying McDonald’s in London, the honeymoon edition!

Spicy Nacho Cheese Wedges

No one loves any nacho more than me. I’ve been spoiled living in San Diego and in LA, having the best of the best Mexican food at my disposal. So I just can’t resist trying anything nacho. Bring it on London (McDonald’s)! It’s a bit dense, a bit spicy, and a bit gross…but in a good way if that makes any sense. No? Ok, moving on…

The Louisiana Stack

I’ve never been to Louisiana, so I can’t account for how they do their burgers, but I think The Louisiana Stack is a good enough representation for me. The bun had a spicy look and the spicy ketchup really made it…spicy. Not sure if there was mayo or ranch on it but it’s an intense and filling burger for sure.

Mississippi Caramel Pie McFlurry

I think by now you can see there is an American theme going on here. I suppose McDonald’s is inherently American, but I can appreciate the regionality they are going for. I appreciate all things McFlurry, and it’s really hard to mess up. So I was not surprised the Mississippi Caramel Pie McFlurry was top notch. To be fair I have not been to Mississippi either, but I’ll take the word of McDonald’s London it’s authentic enough.
