Trying McDonald's in Prague
On our trip to Prague, we had a really nice AirBnB right around the St. Charles Bridge…and a McDonald’s. It was pretty upscale for a McDonald’s, with a downstairs seating area, and a separate McCafe. I suppose having the ordering section upstairs, and the eating area downstairs one could consider it “upscale”. We chose the option to have it delivered to our table to streamline the process, as it was pretty busy upstairs. You know the old saying, “Don’t leave the Czech Republic without trying McDonald’s in Prague.” I might be paraphrasing, but anyway, let’s eat!
This is the online translation of Luky Chicken from the McDonald’s Czech website “Popular chicken classic with a crunchy lettuce, a slice of scented tomato, fresh onion and a tasteful distinctive red Rustic Onion. Come in love with her!” I would say this is accurate.
Maestro Burger Classic
Here is the translation from Czech on the description of the burger, “Maestro Classic has become a popular burger. You will find two slices of meat, Mature Cheddar cheese and bacon. All of this is complemented with mustard sauce and ketchup. The result is a burger that dances your taste buds.” Despite the little McDonald’s flag they place on the burger, it was just ok. The beef patties were kind of subpar, especially on how they present it.
I will start by saying I refer to these as “Gouda Balls” in the video below. Here is the translation from the McDonald’s Czech, “He is not a smoker like a smoker! Our delicious Gouda wheels made of great cheese will take your breath away and you will have something to do to avoid them going 5 times a day. Or you can! We're waiting for you at the nearest Mecca.” This isn’t something I would normally order, but I was pleasantly surprised on how much I liked them. I can see how one could eat too many of these…
